Thanksgiving Fun

     Well it's been a great month and our class Thanksgiving Play was a huge success!! Thanks to all the parents who came out!! Just a few project pics and play pictures!!!! Have a great holiday!!!!

A Whole Lotta Catching Up- GP Day, Apples, and Monsters

     Well, I may be the worst teacher ever!!! I haven't blogged hardly any of my sweet classes learning adventures this year!!! I've just been crazy with this little thing called life ( and my Master's Degree)!  So, while on Fall Break I have vowed to catch up and do better- let's see how they goes ;) !  The following photos are from our Grandparents Day Program, Apples Unit, and Monsters Unit.  Each unit it thematic based and covers literacy and math (both are from Julia Lee- love her work)! The measureing students with apples was a Pinterest idea-not sure how I came up with ideas before - LOL!!  Enjoy the pics- now time to make pumpkin spice French toast for my own sweeties- I LOVE FALL BREAK!!

Next, some pics from our Apple Unit!! I measured students to see how many apples tall or long they were!! It was great - we estimated first and then counted- lots of great hands on  Math!! Also, a couple of pics of our Johnny Appleseed Craft- too cute!!

Hands On Fun!!!


     Kindergarten is in full swing!! What better way to learn than a little hands on fun!! The pictures below are from some great hands on projects we did his past week!!  Letter A painting, letter o art project with Cherrios, dice rolling fun with numbers and shapes, and the our big blow up shapes!!  We used the blow-up shapes to review shapes and wrap up position words!!  He kiddos loved jumping in and going under these giant shapes!!!

Jamming 1st Week!!


     I can't believe how much we jammed into this 1st full week of school!!  My new kinder friends explored shapes, colors, sorting, completed several cutting projects, and had a Teddy Bear 
Picnic on Friday!! Wow!! What a great start to a new year!! Hope you enjoy the pics from a jamming 1st week!!
