Oops...I thought I posted this Sunday...but guess not!!! Last week the kids had a great time learning about the farm. We had some great resources from our Pre-K teacher Ms. Lou!!! We read some great books in class: P is for Pig, Farmer, Farmer What Do You Do, Farm Counting, Rooster Can't Crow, Soybeans from A to Z. We also had some great farm videos on eggs and milk- not to mention a Reading Rainbow Series on The Day Jimmie's Boa Ate The Wash. We made our own farm books and the students helped to write them by writing sight words " the, can, like" I made a farm math game to help us id our numbers 0-20, graphic organizers over cows and pigs, we made a great cow glyph ( thanks to Deanna Jump) and also made ice cream in bags on Friday( Deanna Jump also!!) Wow!! we were super busy!!! I'm hoping to download some free farm items for you soon!!! I'm still in the learning process of blogging.

Next, we worked on farm books for our literacy center for the week!!!The finished product!!
Math center time with Ms. Emily!! One group did a number match and the other group rolled a cube counted and then had to find the correct number. I put this in a center later in the week and the kids loved it. We also did a farm graph and spinner game..but I forgot pics of that one!!
Ice Cream making fun!! We used a Science Experiment from Deanna Jump for Ice Cream in a bag. It was really fun and yummy!! The kids were running around everywhere trying to shake the mixture enough to make ice cream!!These last two pics won't stay put!!! This is from our literacy book and above is Ms. Emily at center time!!!
