I know that March 2nd is the official "Dr.Seuss"day;however, we like to wait for a great Friday at our school and have a huge celebration! Pre-k thru 1st grades participate in the Seuss fun! We switch classes all day long- reading different Seuss books in each room and completing an activity to go with it! The following are pics of our great Seuss fun and some cute Seuss Class doors from our school!!!
I wish this app would let me caption each pic but it won't :( However, the kids had tons of fun with activities like: Lorax photo booth, making cat and the hat, making oobleck, shaving cream Seuss paintings, making teeth from The Tooth Book, fox in socks puppet, and eating green eggs! We had lots of parent volunteers to help make the fun possible!! A great big thanks to you!!

Wonderful Weather
This past week studied a mini unit of Wonderful Weather. This included a couple of fun science experiments, watching live weather forecast, learning and writing some weather words, two great weather books: The Rainy Day and The Little Cloud, and making a fun rainbow mobile at the end of the unit and attaching our wether words!
We had two fun experiments! First, rain in a jar with foam shaving cream and food coloring. This experiment helped to explain the water cycle to students. Next, we made a soap cloud! I had never done this before (Thanks Pinterest) but it was super exciting! A bar of Ivory sop, wax paper and a microwave make a cloud! The students loved, loved, loved this!! It was a great week to study weather considering we've had sun, rain, and snow in one week! Crazy!!!
